Sports Fiesta 2082 Kicks Off with Energetic Opening Day

The much-anticipated Sports Fiesta 2082 began on a high note on its first day, marked by enthusiasm, healthy competition, and impressive athletic performances by students. The opening day featured cross-country, shotput, and long jump events for both boys and girls, drawing active participation from various faculties.


The day started with the cross-country race, where Amit Gurdhami (BEd 2nd Year) clinched first position, showcasing remarkable endurance and pace. He was followed by Surjan Kathayat (BBS 2nd Year) in second place and Ankit BK (BBS 1st Year) securing third position. 




In the Shotput (Boys) category, Ramesh Prasad Bhatta (BBS 1st Year) emerged victorious with a throw of 9.314 meters. Surjan Kathayat (BBS 2nd Year) continued his strong performance by finishing second with 9.22 meters, while Ankit BK (BBS 1st Year) placed third with 9.02 meters. 


The Shotput (Girls) event was led by Shanti Tharu (BEd 2nd Year), who secured first place with a throw of 6.11 meters. Manisha Bist (BBS 2nd Year) and Kalpana Neupane (BBS 2nd Year) claimed second and third positions with throws of 5.56 meters and 5.08 meters, respectively. 


Similarly, exciting performances were seen in the Long Jump (Boys) category. Hitesh Singh Negi (BBS 1st Year) topped the event with a jump of 4.46 meters, narrowly edging out Dinesh Belal (BBS 1st Year), who jumped 4.43 meters. Rajkumar Joshi (BBS 3rd Year) secured third place with 4.34 meters. 


In the Long Jump (Girls) event, Mina Bohara (BBS 2nd Year) stood first with a jump of 2.92 meters, followed by Gita Paneru (BBS 1st Year) with 2.77 meters. Kalpana Neupane (BBS 2nd Year) added another medal to her name by finishing third with 2.29 meters. 


The first day of Sports Fiesta 2082 concluded successfully, setting a vibrant tone for the remaining events. With strong participation and sportsmanlike spirit on display, the fiesta promises more thrilling competitions in the days ahead.
